An update on the International Grants

It hasn’t gone unnoticed that the UG aims for large scale internationalization. But that also implies that extracurricular facilities for students should be given a helping hand in managing this shift in the student population. Last March, the Board of the University agreed to more financial support for the internationalization of student organisations, including study associations.

The already existing International Grant programme was opened for all organizations related to the UG and an extra programme was added: International Grants B. This is more or less the same as the existing programme, but with less rules and restrictions. Good news for student organisations, because International Grants B will allow you to fund both internationalization activities and more structural investments like translating important documents.

Preparing your application

Now, what should a student organization do to receive funds from the International Grants programme? CUOS, the organization responsible for allocating the funds, is still preparing the final terms and conditions. They will organise an information meeting for all organizations early next year. After that, they can hand in your requests until the 31st of March, 2018. For now, wait for the meeting, but start to think about what investments you could fund with this grant!
