International students at the UG mostly do not have an OV-card so that using public transport is not as straight forward as for Dutch students. International students are so more dependent on their bikes. Unfortunately, they often experience the traffic in the city as dangerous and they have troubles finding the fastest route. Additionally, long distances and bad weather contribute to absence in lectures when they take place at Zernike. Therefore, Lijst Calimero and the Students Advice Committee wrote a memo suggesting that the board of directors should improve the mobility of students at the UG. Sufficient information about using public transport in the city should be provided and smart routes to Zernike should be pointed out. In that way, students do not have to cycle through the city centre anymore.<\/p>\n
