Op 6 mei 2014 is het zover… De Universiteitsraadverkiezingen gaan weer van start! Lijst Calimero is op zoek naar een kandidaatsfractie die met ons die verkiezingsstrijd aan wil gaan. Wil jij volgend jaar plaatsnemen in de Universiteitsraad en zo het verschil maken voor bijna 30.000 RUG-studenten? Wil jij een fantastisch jaar beleven waarin je op het hoogste niveau mee mag praten over het beleid van de universiteit? Wil jij je samen met een mooie fractie bijna full-time inzetten voor een hogere kwaliteit van onderwijs en betere voorzieningen aan de RUG? Dan is Lijst Calimero op zoek naar jou!
Wat is de Universiteitsraad?
De Universiteitsraad is het hoogste medezeggenschapsorgaan van de Rijksuniversiteit Groningen, welke bestaat uit 23 leden: 11 personeelsleden en 12 studentleden. De belangrijkste taak van de Universiteitsraad is het meedenken met het College van Bestuur en in dat proces de studentenbelangen vertegenwoordigen. Elk jaar komt er weer een scala aan voorstellen van nieuw beleid en aanpassingen op het huidige beleid voorbij. Denk hierbij aan maatregelen rondom het BSA en het jaarklassensysteem, maar ook de begroting en het nieuwe University College passeren de revue. Daarnaast heeft de fractie het initiatiefrecht: door het stellen van rondvragen en het indienen van notities met ideeën voor onderwijsverbetering worden problemen die onder studenten leven aangekaart bij het College van Bestuur. Om je rol als studentenvertegenwoordiger zo goed mogelijk uit te kunnen voeren houd je nauw contact met de gehele Groningse studentenwereld.
Wat is Lijst Calimero?
Lijst Calimero is een jonge, frisse en vernieuwende partij die kwaliteit van het onderwijs als belangrijkste speerpunt heeft. Dit komt naar voren in de standpunten die de fractie inneemt en de adviezen die zij geeft aan het College van Bestuur. De fractie doet kritisch onderzoek naar de bestuurlijke plannen die voorliggen en betrekt de faculteiten, studieverenigingen, studentenverenigingen, voorzieningen en landelijke politieke organen hierin. Bovenal is Lijst Calimero een hechte organisatie, waarin mensen elkaar motiveren en stimuleren om het beste uit zichzelf en anderen naar boven te halen. Lijst Calimero is voor studenten, door studenten en met studenten!
Wie zoeken wij?
- Ambitieuze en enthousiaste RUG-studenten die onderwijskwaliteit hoog in het vaandel hebben staan
- Harde werkers die zowel individueel als in teamverband kunnen werken
- Studenten die constructief en kritisch naar het onderwijs kunnen kijken
- Mensen met ervaring binnen of buiten de studentenwereld
- Studenten die naast de inhoud ook interesse hebben in de borrels die bezocht gaan worden!

Vanuit de RUG ontvang je een ruime medezeggenschapsbeurs en een Ipad in bruikleen om je Raadswerkzaamheden te vervullen.

6 May 2014 is the day… The start of the University Council elections! Lijst Calimero is looking for a candidate faction that wants to battle the University Council elections with us. Would you like to participate in de University Council next year and make a difference for nearly 30,000 students? Do you want to experience a fantastic year in which you can discuss with the policy makers of the university at the highest level? Do you want to make an almost full time effort for a higher quality of education and better facilities at the university along with a group op committed students? Then Lijst Calimero is looking for you!
What is the University Council?
The University Council is the highest co-determination institution of the University of Groningen, which consists of 23 members: 11 staff members and 12 student members. The main task of the University Council is to think together with the Executive Board and to represent students’ interests in that process. Every year there is a range of new policy proposals and amendments to existing policy. For example: learning communities and the international classroom, but also the budget and the new University College are on the agenda. Furthermore, the University Council has the right of initiative: by writing essays with ideas for improving the quality of education, issues that concern (international) students are addressed to the Board. To fulfill your role as a student representative as good as possible, you keep in close contact with the complete student community of Groningen.
What is Lijst Calimero?
Lijst Calimero is a young , energetic and innovative party with quality of education as main concern. This is reflected in the positioning of the party and in the advices we give to the Executive Board. The faction conducts research to the policy plans to pass concerning faculties, student associations and facilities. Above all Lijst Calimero is a stable organization in which people motivate each other and encourage people to perform in the best possible way. Lijst Calimero is for students, by students and with students!
Who are we looking for?

• People with experience inside or outside the student community
