Reserving a room in the city centre remains possible

Recently, we received several notices that student organizations had difficulties renting a room in the Academy Building or Harmony Complex. Associations were not able to reserve a room, as changed policies would restrict any further rental to external parties. However, study organizations and most student organizations are associated with the University and no external parties. Therefore, they should not be refused for reserving a room in one of the UG building.

After asking questions it appears that the new policy has led to unclearity as to whether “external parties” also was to apply to student organizations. Yet it appears that study associations and other student organizations can still rent a room within UG building, although available rooms are generally limited and preference is given to education related events.
