Better information for first-year students

A lot of students lack information on what they can expect of their study time in Groningen when they arrive here. During the KEI-week they feel overwhelmed by all the information they get. All the student associations, study associations, sports associations and other associations try to present themselves the best possible way and it is very difficult for new students to filter all this information. We therefore plead for a general, neutral information brochure from the University that explains all the different options you have. This brochure should include information about the university as well as information about the whole student community of Groningen. In response to our question the Board of Directors has set up a working group with employees from the communication office and students from different associations to improve, amongst others, the RUG website. The website now gives a more clear overview on the possibilities in Groningen.
