Stronger student representation

In the fall of 2016, in collaboration with the other student factions of the University Council, we have worked on a memo for the purpose of the strengthening of student participation and the elections. Also based on a meeting we organized with representatives from the faculty councils. In the collective memo, the three student parties have agreed to shorten the election period from seven to five days and have made several proposals to enlarge the visibility of the participation councils on all levels. For example, we proposed to set up a neutral campaign a week before the elections, in which more information is provided on the relevance of student participation. Moreover, we want that student representatives are better reachable through Nestor. The board of directors supported our collective memo which means that we will work out our proposals in the coming months.
